Unless one lives in WY,MT, or ID going to a skit in Yellowstone could be quite expensive.
As for places I have on my Bucket list...Washington state, Oregon, Vermont, and Maine.....and God willing all the National parks.
The trip to Hawaii that Boomeon is giving away is something I would really like since that is one of the places that has been on my Bucket List for years, but I had almost given up on because of the cost. Maybe with a few prayers, I'll win that trip.
Georgia....I would also like to someday go to Maine, but it is not at the top of my Bucket List. I've never done much traveling except between Kentucky, my home state and Georgia, where I transferred with my job and lived for 15 years. I was always to busy being a Mom, working and taking care of our home, to do much traveling, other than to see family. My very first trip to Florida, was this past October, as my "65th" Birthday Present to myself. I hope to go to Washington, DC in the next year or so. I want to do as much traveling as I can financially and physically afford to do, because I know that I probably only have a few more years left that I will be physically able to get around well enough to do much traveling.
Patti, I live in Baltimore so when you think you want to come this way, let me know. You should try to plan it for the Cherry Blossom Festival and maybe get to see the trees in full bloom. They are a beautiful sight. I actually hosted a SKIT a couple of years ago but the weather was so warm in February that the trees blossomed real early and we missed them. But we still had a great time. My bucket list--Ireland. And to finish being in all the US states. I still have Vermont, South Dakota and Alaska.
Thanks for the offer Ginger.... A SKIT in your area would be great. I may just take you up on it, but it probably can not be this year, unless I win the Lottery or have some other windfall. My Grandson is getting married in early April in Georgia, so I will be heading South for that. I may get to see the Cherry Blossoms blooming in Macon, depending on the weather. Macon also has a Cherry Blossom Festival every Spring and the trees are indeed beautiful. Many years ago, my company made a float for the Cherry Blossom Parade. I helped build the float and, was asked to ride on the float in the parade. (I was skinny then.) That was really a lot of fun. I planned on going to at least two or three SKITS this year, but between the Wedding and the fact that my ceiling in my front room just caved in this week, my budget will be much tighter than I had hoped it would be.
I love the Yellowstone idea, I haven't been there since I was in my teens. Maybe a future camping SKIT would be an idea. There are probably people who have camping gear or travel trailers etc.
