Designed by Carolyne Brennan of Hot Dot Designs© Exclusively For Boomeon

Skill Level: Beginner

Materials needed per earring:

  • 2” head pins x 2
  • Size1# crimp x 2
  • 8mm bead caps x 4 (or spaces)
  • 12.5mm beads x 2 ( I have used my handmade Egyptian Paste ceramic beads)
  • 3mm spacer black crystal x 2
  • 3mm spacer green crystal x 2
  • Size 8 black seed beads x 4
  • Size 8 green seed beads x 2

Tools needed:

Most Important of all, be creative and enjoy making the project, feel free to change it in any way you choose. There is one thing I would recommend is that you make at least one as per the instructions and then go for it!

Straighten the head pins with nylon jaw pliers (step 1)

STEP: 2

Thread the material onto the head pin bead cap, main bead, bead cap, 3mm black crystal spacer, green-seed bead, CRIMP, black seed bead, 3mm green crystal spacer, black seed bead.

Take you round nose pliers and make a loop bringing the pliers towards you.

See image 3a

STEP: 4

Take you chain nose pliers and open the loop away from you.

Slide your ear wire onto opened loop

STEP: 6

Take you chain nose pliers and close the loop towards you, making sure the loop is closed.

Slide the section as shown in the image up to the end of the head pin.
Take your chain nose pliers and slide the crimp up as tight as you can get it on the head pin and squeeze the crimp onto the head pin, making sure it is secure and will not move.

Make sure all your work is as neatly finished as you can make it, and... VOILA! You now have this great pair of spiral earrings to wear!
