Materials Needed to Make These Earrings

  • 2” head pins x 2
  • Size 1 crimp x 2
  • 8mm bead caps x 4 (or spaces)
  • 15mm beads x 2 ( I have used my handmade gold lustre ceramic beads
  • 3mm  metal spacer beads x 4
  • Size 8 plastic bead (this bead will be used to assist you with measuring the exact distance to cut your head pin for consistent loop size

Tools Needed

Jewellery cutters /chain nose or bent nose pliers / nylon jaw pliers / round nose pliers

Tips

Most important of all be creative and enjoy making the project, feel free to change it in any way you choose. 

There is one thing I would recommend is that you make at least one as per the instructions and then go for it!

Handmade round carved gold lustre ceramic beads (CBL6)

Instructions

STEP 1: Straighten the head pins with nylon jaw pliers (step 1)

STEP 2:   Thread the material onto the head pin 

3mm metal spacer, bead cap, main bead, bead cap, 3mm metal spacer, 

STEP 3: Now thread on your 8mm plastic bead, pushing it firmly down onto your other materials making sure there is no gap, and cut the head pin 

***(this bead will be used to assist you with measuring the exact distance to cut your head pin for consistent loop size

STEP 4:  Take your round nose pliers and make a loop bring the pliers towards you

***make sure all of the materials are tight on the head pin and do not move around.

STEP 5:   Take your chain nose pliers and open the loop away from you

STEP 6:   Slide your ear wire onto opened loop.

 Take you chain nose pliers and close the loop towards you, making sure the loop is closed.

Make sure all your work is as neatly finished as you can make it, and...

VOILA! You now have this great pair of earrings to wear!
