  • Ear wires x 2
  • Blue tac (used to stop your beads from escaping on the thread)
Tools Needed

Jewellery cutters /chain nose or bent nose pliers / nylon jaw pliers / round nose pliers

Tips

Most Important of all be creative and enjoy making the project, feel free to change it in any way you choose.

There is one thing I would recommend is that you make at least one as per the instructions and then go for it!

Instructions:

STEP 1:   Place blue tac on the end of your thread (used to stop your beads from escaping on the thread).  Thread on 21 seed beads, bead cap, main bead, bead cap, 21 seed beads.

STEP 2:   Thread both threads into the bead cap.

**** Make sure whatever you use that 5 threads go through.

STEP 3:  Thread 33 seed beads on the second thread with an extra seed bead at the top.

**** See image step 3.  You will now have two separate rows.

STEP 4:   Take the smaller seed beaded oval and thread it up through the bead cap.

STEP 5:   Thread on second bead cap

**** See image step 5.

STEP 6:  Pull all threads up tight through the crimp.

STEP 7:   Take one of the outer threads and thread it back down through your crimp and bead caps (see image step 7) to form a loop. Leave the other threads for the moment.

STEP 8:    Take your crimping pliers and on the second run on the pliers squeeze and apply pressure, make sure you have done this correctly or it will all fall apart!

**** If you do not have crimping pliers, you can use chain nose pliers but crimpers are the correct tool for this step

STEP 9:   Take your cutters and cut off all excess thread as close as you can to the loop.

**** You will see this clearer in the previous project ... Oval drop seed beaded pair of earrings

STEP 10:   Take your chain nose pliers and open the ear wire away from you, just enough to slide on your beaded drop section.

**** Do not open it to far or you will break the wire.

**** You will see this clearer in the previous project ... Oval drop seed beaded pair of earrings

STEP 11:   Slide your beaded drop earring section on to the opened ear wire.

Take your chain nose pliers and close the ear wire loop. Make sure the loop it is closed tight!

**** You will see this clearer in the previous project ... Oval drop seed beaded pair of earrings

Make sure all your work is as neatly finished as you can make it, and...

VOILA! You now have this great pair of earrings to wear!
