Before the launch, Cheap Jordans Retro digs deep into their vault to give us a look at a pair of the 1988 "True Blue" Air Jordan 3s signed by Michael Jordan himself. The classic Air Jordan 3 mimics the Red sock liner on the tongue, True Blue accents and Nike Air branding on the heel tab, insole and outsole. There are slight differences between the two, like the bolder elephant print and lower cut at the ankle. This Air Jordan 3 GS Black Teal colorway is a kids exclusive Air Jordan 3 that drops on Christmas Eve. Dressed in a Black, Teal and Gold color scheme. This Air Jordan 3 features a Black leather upper with Teal accents on the inner liner, elephant print and midsole. Gold detailing covers the Jumpman logos, and lower eyelets. A clean White midsole and Black rubber outsole completes the look.
New Jordans 2016, After many leaks, an official image of the 2016 "True Blue" Air Jordan 3 retro has emerged. The singular profile image just barely reveals the "Nike Air" branding on back, which has never appeared on a retro release of this colorway before, In so many ways, the Air Jordan 3 was a first in footwear. The Jordan 3 was the first Air Jordan designed by famed and legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield when it hit Michael Jordan's feet for the 1987-88 season. While we saw high-top and low-top versions of the Air Jordan signature shoe in the first two models, the Air Jordan 3 was the first mid-top basketball shoe. The mid-top design allowed for greater flexibility than the high-tops, but provided the right amount of stability for the 6? 6? basketball prodigy. Other firsts that the Air Jordan 3 highlight are the first Air Jordan to sport the famous Jumpman logo and the first with a visible Nike Air unit.
This Jordans 2017 comes dressed in a Jordan 11 Dark Grey wool upper, they completely SWapped out the usual patent leather and mesh, that sits on a White midsole and a Milky translucent outsole. You may also notice, the Black detailing the heel and the 23 logo has been taken off. This Air Jordan 11 features a full premium Wool-constructed upper done in Dark Grey. Black contrasting detailing hits the heels, which doesn't include the traditional "23" logo. Black laces, a White midsole and milky translucent outsole completes the look. The Air Jordan 11 Wool is part of Jordan Brand's Air Jordan Retro Wool Collection, that includes the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 12. Tinkering with arguably the most famous sneaker ever created is a tough proposition. The mesh and patent leather formula has been iconic since 1995, influencing sneaker design to this very day and defining athletic footwear’s highest aesthetic aspirations. However, instead of churning out another variation on the successful mesh/patent theme, Jordan Brand is recasting the design in wool as a cold weather release. Gone are the two-tones, with muted dark grey textile covering everything in bespoke style.
