PictureJohn with Butte and Moss
After 8 months in Andalusia we're now in Hay on Wye, Herefordshire a town on the English/Welsh border in fact when you go shopping in Hay the Co-Operative supermarket is in England whilst the butchers is in Wales. Hay is a charming little town, current population is just 1500 Its unique position on the border between England and Wales makes Hay ideal for visitors to explore and enjoy the beautiful border country.  World renowned for books and bookshops, Hay-on-Wye has become world famous for its secondhand and antiquarian bookshops. At present there are approximately thirty major bookshops in the town some specialising whilst others carry general stock. Visitors come to Hay from all over the world throughout the year. During the Hay Festival, held every year, the town overflows with visitors and the Literary World's "Whos Who"

A town we're very familiar with having visited it on many occasions over the years. I have a very dear friend who lives here family really, we've known one another for years, brought up our children together and seen each other through many turbulent and fun times. We are indeed like sisters or Thelma and Louise as our daughters refer to us.

Our visit this time is brief, just two weeks pet/house sitting for some friends who've taken a "bucket list" trip to the States. Butte and Moss are two collies with lovely characters both rescued some years ago by their owners, they are extremely well traveled. Fay and Ray have a lovely house in the hills an hour outside of Malaga, Spain and take the doggies with them at least three times a year, open a car trunk and they're in faster than you can say SIT!
