The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
~Dorothy Frances Gurney, "Garden Thoughts"

It is time for bed tonight, this night before our weekly harvest—the only night I set an alarm for my pre-dawn awakening. And, how eagerly I anticipate it. The morning light blushing ever so gently over us, as we quietly take our last sips of coffee and head out into the garden rows to bring into our shed whatever bounty is ready. The garden in its beauty like a fine cathedral. It feels like an act of reverence and responsibility.   And I truly hope it comes across as such to our customers..
