Knowing everyone and everyone knowing you.

Accepting that nosy neighbors are just a part of life.

Having a do-it-yourself attitude that you apply to basically everything.

Driving nowhere with your friends for no good reason.Driving nowhere by yourself for no good reason.Driving that specific stretch of road you always drive by yourself when you need to get some thinking done.

Making out in the woods.Smoking cigarettes in the woods.Drinking beer in the woods.Doing anything in the woods, really.

Having hometown pride. And hating the shit out of the next town over.

Swimming holes.

Being able to see the stars at night. And maybe wishing on one of those stars that one day you might leave.Being absolutely terrified that you’ll never make it out.But knowing in your heart, whether you stay…or go…That your small town helped make you who you are today.

In remembrance of MY Small Town Boy/Husband.

My small town boy had the freedom to go anywhere in town with out fear. He loved to ride his bicycle all over and later came a motor scooter followed by motor cycles and old almost junk cars. He spent his summers in the Hay fields loading and unloading bale after bale. He loved the life and it fit him like a glove.

His small town was Latham Kansas.

What can you add about your small town experience and where was your small town located?
