Baby Boomers......Do you ever wake up feeling "average?"

Not me , but sometimes it seems like the world is always searching to find the average in everything.

I guess that way we have something to compare ourselves to.

What is the average income of a man in his 50's?

What is the average amount of time a person spends on Facebook?

What is the average amount of calories (on an average day) consumed by the state of Illinois which is considered the most average state in the union?

What is the average length of time a person will watch an average TV show on an average weekday night?

On average, how many questions will the average reader read in this blog before they head over to Facebook?

You get my point, right?

In yesterday's blog, I posted an infographic on some of the statistics of an "average" American male.

It appears that the average "Joe" is a pinch over 5' 9" tall.

Excellent.........I'm taller.

The average "Joe" exercises 2.87 hours per week.

I had better slow down since I am at the gym over 4 hours a week.

Average "Joe" also has an orgasm that lasts 6 seconds.

OK, how in the heck did they get that one figured out?

Sorry folks, but I am usually way too distracted to press the timer on my stop watch.

Anyway, there are, on average, hundreds of other "average" facts about the "average" American male that I am sure you were wondering about.

To begin with, let me tell you that among the total population, there are more 50-year-olds in the United States right now than any other single-age group.

I guess that makes the baby boomer generation average by default.

Do you know what else?

The life expectancy of the average man in his 50's is 65.5 years.

We better start using them wisely.

Did you know that the average man is 34.4 years old?

He is also married with two children

He earns just over $36,000 per year in the U.S.

The latest figures show that the average male has a savings account of just over $3000.

I'm pretty sure that that number probably needs to be re-evaluated since the economic bubble burst in the late 2000's.

Even though he probably worries constantly about his financial future, the average American man still sleeps about 7 hours on a work night.

Not bad.

I wish I could sleep straight through the night without having to get up and pee all of the time.

Hey, I wonder what the average amount of times a man pees during the night?

Believe it or not, according to the website "Health Tap" the average man should only pee 1 to 2 times a night.

Guess what?

in case you were wondering, I found that the average man should pee 7 times during the course of a day as well.

When asked "What do you think is the best job in America?" 41% of men surveyed responded:   Being an "A" List movie star.

According to the average man the definition of success is:

"A job that leaves me emotionally fulfilled and personally content."

I was pretty disappointing when I read that answer.

I have always hoped that men were too smart to feel that their personal success was based on a "job."

What else does the average male population say about themselves?

They want to retire at the age of 65.

Their political affiliation is "Independent."

What worries the average American male the most?

If you guessed something to do with money you are right.

The top 3 answers all deal with finances and money.

In the most current economic environment though, today's number 1 answer is: "the unemployment rate."

80% of American males believe in God.

Hopefully, he can keep the average American male gainfully employed.

55% of you think Clint Eastwood is the coolest man in America.

50% of you indicate that your favorite spectator sport is football.

12% of the male population rate themselves as "Very Happy."

Well, that sucks.

It's probably because most men aren't Clint Eastwood or can't play football?

Speaking of not being very happy on average.....

When was the last time you had 5 or more drinks in a single sitting?

13% of American males said that happened 2 to 3 days ago.

What is the one thing an average man can't you live without?

OMG.....................His  computer.

The average frequency for a man to have sex is two times per week.

When asked "How many sexual partners have you had in your life?" the most popular answer was:  more than 15.

When asked "How often do you have sex?"  27% said less than once a month (darn it) but 25% said (here's the good news) 2 to 3 times a week.

The average male member in all its glory is six inches long and five inches in circumference.

The biggest "unit" on record is 12 inches, erect.

OK, I only threw that in because I knew every red blooded American male wanted to know and would have probably wasted a good hour or so of their time researching it on the internet otherwise.

And a little side note for the women..............

The part of a man's body that is the biggest turn-on for the average woman: his butt.

Who would the average man want to sleep with if given a choice:

In your version of an ideal marriage, your wife would:

22% said today.

How do you get your news these days?

48% of you watch TV.

What are your thoughts on marijuana?

The average American male believes it should be legalized, taxed, and regulated by the government.

So, have I covered the most important questions you have about being an average American male?

With only 12% of the population saying that they considered themselves "very happy" I think it is important to let you know that when asked the following question:

What is your most important goal in life?

The answer given by the most men is:

To Be Happy!!!

Guys, are you feeling average now?
