I recently read a sign that said" The first step to getting what you want is having the courage to get rid of what you don't."
That is just about the truest statement I have seen in quite awhile. I think that getting rid of what isn't working in your life right now allows the beauty of what is left to shine.
Ever since we moved to this house almost two years ago, we keep a box for goodwill stuff out and when it is full we take the stuff away.We also regularly sort foods and medicines for expiration dates. Yesterday I moved my winter clothes to the back of the closet and brought the lighter weight stuff to the front. In that process I sorted things that did not fit (I have lost a little weight), things that I simply never put on and polyester pants that I kept just in case I needed to become a full time employee again. I put four pairs of pants and 10 shirts in that Goodwill box.
What have you gotten rid of lately?
