Pacific Period issued a recall upon 217, 600 strollers Thurs due to concerns about the top swivel wheels.
The front steering wheel could be dislocated, causing kids to crash and drop. There have been 132 reports from the front wheel becoming reduce or unstable, resulting in 215 injuries. The reports consist of head injuries, bumps, craters, abrasions and lacerations.
The next units have been recalled: Instep Safari, Instep Grand Firefox, Instep Flight, Schwinn Turismo and Schwinn Discover. A complete list of all recalled items is available on the Consumer Item Safety Commission website.
Pacific cycles Cycle recommends that you do not come back the jogging strollers in order to retailers. Rather, consumers are advised to cease use of the double- and single-occupancy strollers created by Schwinn and Instep instantly, and contact Pacific Period for a repair kit in order to secure the front wheel. A movie demonstration is available on the Pacific cycles Cycle website.
The restoration kit includes a structure which uses a screw-on-and-off method, as opposed to the quick-release method the products experienced, and new warning labeling.
The strollers are sold in small retailers nationwide as well as online at Amazon, Focus on, Toys R Us as well as Walmart. For more information, contact Pacific cycles Cycle.
