With today's media obsession on appearance and youth, you could easily be forgiven for thinking that only the young are looking for companionship, that dating is a game only for young people.
But a lot of things have changed since the past when older women were already married at senior age because they were seen by men as housewives and only served the purpose of making children and taking care of them. Today, woman are almost equal to men in responsibilities and rights.
People are living decades longer than they once did, and staying healthier, fitter, and in some cases, friskier into their senior years than ever before.
At the same time, more and more adults with an age of over 55 find themselves single and looking for companionship, either because of divorce or tragic loss of the wife or husband they loved for so many time.
This means that there are more baby boomers and seniors looking for some kind of companionship to help fill the void left by their previous partner.
Dating for seniors is, in many ways, like dating at any other age. Older women still want to find someone to share their dreams and adventures with. They are still looking for someone who can support and love them.
Today, older women have so many options for where to meet people, from speed dating to senior dating sites/apps to simply saying hello to someone on the bus. And yes, there are indeed tinder like apps for seniors.
Because one thing about human nature that never changes, even when you grow older, is that no one enjoys the feeling of loneliness.
There are tons of reasons that make us think that people deeper motivations evolve as they get older. Older women look for companionship in a way that is very different from their younger counterparts. Once women are into their wisdom years, their desires, needs, and expectations become very different from what they used to be when they were in their twenties.
Young women are mainly interested in finding someone who can provide and has good genes. And some of them may want to seek arrangement through some sugar daddy websites. Because of older women' children leaving their house, their priorities significantly change. They become more interested in finding someone who shares their same values, rather than someone with a lot of money and good appearance (Something not so easy to find when you get older).
Logically, women should look at relationships differently in their fifties and sixties, but the truth is that many women don't. There are tons of older women who are looking for a James Bond kind of man, daring, exciting and attractive.
But there are also many women who just want someone who makes them feel special and unique.
There is no right or wrong answer here, of course. All women want slightly different things in dating.
But even if older women want different things in older women dating, there are some patterns that most of older woman follow. They are still looking for good looking men but not as much as in their younger days.
