Toilet bowl brushes are great for cleaning those nasty, dingy toilet bowls. When looking for a good toilet bowl brush there are a few kinds to choose from. And we will explore the different kinds of toilet bowl brushes in this article. I will make sure that you have all the information you need to be able to make a good, educated decision when you decide to go out and buy one.

3 Kinds of Toilet Bowl Brushes

There are mainly three kinds of toilet bowl brushes. There are the ones that are like a wire with the very sturdy, very strong bristles woven into it. Then this wire is bent into a “U” like shape, and then attached to a stick and handle. This is very much like the RubberMaid Toilet Bowl Brush with caddy. There are people who say this is the best toilet brush they have ever used. They say it gets deep into the toilet and scrubs away the stains. It is very sturdy, very strong. It can last for a very long time, even when used on a regular basis.

Then there are the toilets bowls brushes that are just like plastic sticks with the bristles attached to the end. These are generally very wide and don’t fit into all the crevices of the toilet bowl. Thought they are great at cleaning parts of the bowl, they don’t reach them all. This might be a problem if you really want your toilet to be really clean.

Finally, there are the toilet bowl wands with disposable pads. These already have the cleaning agents into the pad, and the pads can be thrown away and replaced. Though these may seem very handy and convenient, they just don’t scrub like the regular brushes do. They don’t get deep down into the toilet and they don’t reach all the crevices, but they do make up for that by being so convenient to use and they can be used for more than just cleaning the toilet.  I actually use them to clean my shower, tub and tile floor as well.

I honestly have to say that the regular best leave in toilet bowl cleaner brushes work better than the ones with disposable pads. I’ve tried both. The regular toilet bowl brushes actually scrub away the entire deep down dirt and grime. You just put some cleaner inside the bowl, and scrub away. It’s that easy. The toilet bowl brushes with disposable pads just don’t clean that deep.  However, if you keep your toilet fairly clean, the toilet bowl wand is the perfect solution for everyday cleaning.

From the above toilet brushes, I have to say the first one is the one that I am more likely to use if I have to really clean out a dirty toilet.  However for everyday use, I love my toilet bowl wand.  Which one is best for you? Well, that all depends on how clean and how often you want to clean your toilet bowl.  Just try out the different kinds of toilet bowl brushes. I’m sure you’ll find one that is perfect for you.
