I'm a recently retired 66 year old music teacher. I love to play music by Herbie Hancock, Tadd Dameron, A.C. Jobim, Horace Silver and many more fine composers. I love reading about the ideas and theories coming from the wild world of physics such as books by Kaku, Hawking, Carroll, Randall, Krauss as well as articles and books about human evolution and a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction works. The on going research on how meditation actually changes the structure of the brain and it's potential for helping humanity evolve the ability to focus on creating solutions to the current problems that serves the highest good of all concerned is of great interest. It would be a worthwhile experiment to begin implementing some basic meditation techniques in public grade schools throughout the country. I love movies ranging from the 1930's classics 'Thin Man', 'After the Thin Man', 'Another Thin Man' with Myrna Loy and William Powell to the films of Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Quinten Tarantino, the Coen brothers etc. I'm looking forward to traveling a bit in the near future.
